Aromatic Gardens at Algarve Biofarm

Lavender, rosemary, thyme, verbena and more — a sensory walk through the plants that scent our corner of the Algarve.

Our aromatic gardens sit alongside the aloe groves, near Paderne. They are working gardens — grown sustainably, harvested by hand, and used in the food, drinks and natural products we make on the farm. Guests are welcome to wander, touch and smell everything.

Explore the Gardens

Wander, smell, learn

Walk the aromatic garden with us and meet each plant in turn — lavender, rosemary, thyme, oregano, verbena, mint and more. We share how each one is grown in this soil and climate, how it's used in our kitchen and products, and the small stories behind why it ended up here.

Perfect as a quiet solo wander or as a gentle guided walk.

Garden to Handmade

From bed to bottle, bundle, and bath

See how the aromatics that grow here become everyday things: herbal infusions for the Jardim de Chá, fragrant oils, kitchen bundles, soaps, bath salts and massage candles. We explain the simple, natural processes behind each product, and the small rituals they support.

Guests leave with ideas — and, where possible, a small handmade something to take home.

Sensory Experience

A garden for your senses

Our aromatic sessions are designed to slow you down. Smell the plants in the warmth of the sun. Taste a fresh sprig or a cold infusion. Crush a leaf between your fingers and notice what changes. Sit in the Jardim de Chá and simply breathe.

It's inclusive and accessible — sensory sessions work beautifully for all abilities, and for guests who just want a calmer kind of day.
